Best friends , always and forever !

When everything around me paused and became lifeless, crying was all I thought, I could do. I felt helpless and hurt, a deep pain inside my heart started to grow. I became vulnerable and carried fright. Nothing worse could have happened to anyone, I bet. I was trapped in the emotional cyclone as I lost someone who meant the world to me. The reason, for which I existed, had lost. Memories are never enough to replace what has gone. My heart silently wept as it felt all alone, the ache grew stronger as the absence was closely felt. Time cannot heal all wounds, and some just get worse with time.

Now , only in my memories.
I wish you could stay till dawn!

It feels all alone
Nothing can be done but moan,
With heart beating in its saddest tone
I wish you could stay till dawn..

Bitter realization that it’s gone
The thing which I considered as my own,
With the pain outgrown
I wish you could stay till dawn..

Left in the world all alone
Unaccompanied and lone,
Since, everything around me has blown
I wish you could stay till dawn..

Regretting things not done
Feelings not shared, Words unspoken
Life, left with a permanent frown
I wish you could stay till dawn..

Why can’t mishaps postpone
When life gets in a danger zone
I am so hurt prone
All I wish is ,if only you could have stayed till dawn!!

Then, there came a light, an angel who took me by her side, gave me the love and compassion I needed and not the lectures which others gave. She showed me the path to continue my journey of life. I cried on her shoulders almost every day, and each day she gave me the strength to face the world. She never gave up on me and healed me with her wisdom and support.

I shared my sorrow with her and she turned it into happiness and yes I learnt to smile, yet again. I understood that life is too short to grieve, and started to enjoy my present without regretting the past. Though I couldn’t forget what had happened, and carried happy memories of the past. I took my studies seriously, excelled in whatever I did, with her support. She loved me more than her kids and she is the reason , that today I stand tall with my head held high. I share with her every little thing which happens in my life. She gives me courage  to get past the difficult phases and enjoys with me in the best moments of my life. Though I call her my aunty but she means more than a mother to me. She is the reason of my existence. She is my friend, companion, (and as she sometimes says, “you talk to me as if I am your boyfriend”) everything! I know that if she is by my side everything will always be okay. I love her to the core and who said friends can only be of your age. It’s about around whom you feel most comfortable.

I found the ray of hope in my aunt!

You taught me a beautiful stride..!!

I wailed and cried for day and night,
You came around and sat by my side,
I shared my feelings and fright,
You showed me the brighter side!

I gave up and shared my sorrow plight,
You showed me a ray of hope and the next tide,
My survival seemed meaningless to my might,
You showed me the path with pride!

My tears stopped, as I got your previse sight,
You made me a person, everyone took pride,
Spoiled and pampered alright,
You made my life a joyous ride!

There came an end to my sleepless nights,
As you tried, I got inspired,
Scared of heights,
Yet you made me glide!

Nothing seemed bright,
Till you showed me the smile I couldn't hide,
Frightened in a dark light,
And then you taught me a beautiful stride!!

Only friends can take your life to a new turn, a fresh beginning.I found my best friend in my aunt. She will be my best friend always and forever!
Friendship isn’t about whom you have known the longest… It’s about who came, and never left your side…

Best friends always and forever!

The Moral Of The Story Is ..

Ignoring warning signs

When it comes to warning signs we can find them on road sides related to the speed limits , or in buses and trains declaring "no smoking zones" or "Caution ! wet floor" signs in a mall or while writing a post in your blog you get a sign "An error occurred while trying to save or publish your post. Please try again. (Ignore warning). " We all happen to read them every time but never pay attention to it or follow it. Its human nature to ignore things until they get worse.

But Certain signs come from the inside, which we say our inner voice, gut feeiling, just before doing something we realise whether its right or not. We use it daily in many different ways, taking it completely for granted; yet it’s not an ordinary thing! It is the basis of our clarity, our morality and, to a large degree, the success or failure of our efforts.

Like An angerholic  hears the internal voice telling him to stop being angry, harming his body, hurting others and being addicted to the habit, but then ignores the voice or drowns it out. This only adds to the inner disharmony already present and both self-respect and self-esteem are slowly reduced.
Yet we pay less attention to our inner-self.

These are certain questions we must ask ourselves-

Have you ever ignored your inner voice?

Did you do something even after having the gut feeling that it's not right?
Did you stop yourself when your instinct didn't justify your action?
Have you ever felt a conflict between expressing your concerns or keeping quiet?

Here's a story answering these questions.

The story

There was a girl named Renne who was very intelligent, intellectual and spiritual. She believed in the theory of karma in a way like newton's law- every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Similarily she believed in the karma of this life and the fruits of her karma of her previous lives.
Once her family  planned for a trip to some place. She was not that interested in going maybe she wasn't fond of travelling or she just wanted to spend her vacation lazying around. Since the whole family was really excited about it, she agreed for her family's happiness and didn't show her disinterest . The tickets got booked and all preparations were made.

As soon as they reached the airport, their flight  got delayed for a few minutes, then for a few hours and finally got cancelled. Then she thought maybe it was a sign that they shouldn't be going for the trip. Her intuition tried to get her to choose another path.  Her inner knowing wanted her to get off at the nearest exit. She ignored it.

And they got tickets for another flight. Still she wasn't feeling the excitement and spoke to her mom. Her mom said " There isn't anything like that, just because the flight got cancelled you shouldn't feel sad and drown your enthusiasm." Renne agreed with what her mother said.

When they boarded the alternate flight something went wrong with the flight and it took 20-30 minutes of time.Again she felt nervous. As if God is sending her signs to get off the flight immediately. But she disregarded the signs she was given.

Then the flight took off , everything was smooth and soon they landed to their destination. It was a hill station so it required a couple of hours of road journey to reach their Hotel. Everybody in the family was full of enthusiasm and was having fun.But still she wasn't feeling well. As if they're making a mistake, a big, fat mistake . Or maybe it was just car sickness.

Suddenly their car went off speeding , the driver lost control and the car fell in the valley.

The whole family even the driver couldn't survive.

Renne ignored her intuition and it had a monumental impact .She got signs at every step but she ignored them all . Its essential  not only be in touch with your truth or inner self, but to trust your gut and act on it.Its rightly said "Apprehensions are Not Butterflies."

It is  important to listen to the inner voice. The messages your conscience wants to share with you carry considerable consequences.
‘Always let your conscience be your guide.’

Not a blogger as yet

I am not much of a "write anything and post" kind of a blogger. In fact I don't consider myself a blogger as yet. I started the blog around three years back when my cousin who is a blogger herself suggested me. I write in the very conventional way in my diary, to which only few people have access to. I may be quite outgoing as a person but when it comes to writing I  still get shy and don't express it freely in a blog. That is the reason i have a few posts in my blog. I have several diaries filled with random stuff, but when it comes to my blog , its nearly empty.

Several times I click to the new post label and write, but don't feel that it is good enough to be published. I don't have followers so it feels like for whom am I writing but the thing is I love to write and I write it for myself so I shouldn't really bother if anybody's reading it or not. The purpose is to write and express myself. Now on, I am going to update my blog at least once a week . Even if nobody bothers to go through it . I wish to be a regular blogger like several other writers out there. Though I don't have any idea of how to socialize with other bloggers. I am more into reading random people's blogs and enjoying it. Very soon even my blog will be flooded with posts. Till then keep reading and blogging.

Appa with mint chuttney (South Indian dish with a Central Indian twist)

Living in central india has its own benefits ,here north meets the south and the east  meets the west. Central India happens to have the best street food , best local restaurants besides subways, MC d's and pizza huts. We can taste the blissful north Indian and south indian food

at the same place.

Having a father who is a foody , we have found the best chaats , jalebis and kachoris in the town. International cuisines with an Indian twist are irresistible.

Every now and then we try several recipes at home. This one is one of my favourites. Its light, easy to make and less on calorie count.
